InventorGeoffrey Ballard was named one of the five "Heroes for the Planet" in Time Magazine and is also known as the "father of the fuel cell industry". Ballard spearheaded the development of the Ballard Fuel Cell, a device that generates electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen without any combustion. These environmentally clean, zero-emission fuel cells are already being used experimentally in cars, busses, electrical generating plants and portable power products. Ballard predicts that the 21st century will be a Hydrogen (not fossil fuel) based economy and some very large companies, including Chrysler and Ford have invested billions in Ballard's technology.

Co-Founder, BrightcoveBob Mason is the Chief Technology Officer and co-Founder of Brightcove. Brightcove is an open, democratic web platform that empowers content owners--from independent producers to major broadcast networks--to reach their audiences directly through the Internet by launching their own broadband channels. Mason is instrumental in the design, architecture and vision of Brightcove as well as dealing directly with customers and partners. Mason graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Computer Science and has had numerous jobs dealing with everything from online gaming to computer program development. Most notably, Mason spent 10 years at Art Technology Group where he was the technical leader for software development and architecture.
