The Road to Success DVD series and this website have been made possible by the generous support of JGS Inc. and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

JGS Inc.
Joy of Giving Something, Inc. (JGS) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the photographic arts.  Established in 1998, JGS funds the creation of fine art books on contemporary photography, publishes its own artist-edited journal Witness, and produces documentary DVDs that showcase artists at work.  Photographs from the JGS collection are made available to major museums around the world.

In 2007 JGS established the Forward Thinking Museum (FTM), a virtual gallery that features a video theater and single-artist exhibitions drawn from JGS's collection, as well as loans from other museums. Juried quarterly photography and video contests offer winners the opportunity to show their entry in a dedicated gallery.  In addition, an annual $15,000 Artist Award will be presented to a photographer whose work exemplifies "Forward Thinking." The Forward Thinking Museum store offers a select collection of prints, books, and DVDs.  Net proceeds go directly to the scholarship fund for students pursuing photographic studies. Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation was established in the mid-1960s by the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Ewing Marion Kauffman. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kauffman Foundation is the 30th largest foundation in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion. The vision of the Kauffman Foundation is to foster "a society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens, contributing to the improvement of their communities." In service of this vision, and in keeping with our founder’s wishes, the Foundation focuses its grant making and operations on two areas: advancing entrepreneurship and improving the education of children and youth.
